Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-10-14

This policy explains what the NGP Cloud Help Center (ngpcloud.blog) collects when you read it, and how that information is used. It covers this website only. For your NGP Cloud account, payments and hosted services, the company-wide Privacy Policy applies.

1. What we collect

  • Technical data. Like any website, our servers receive your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for and the time. This appears in standard server logs.
  • Article feedback. If you answer "Was this article helpful?", we store your Yes or No and, if you write one, your comment. Feedback is not linked to an account. Please don't put personal details, passwords or payment details in a comment.
  • View counts. Each article keeps an anonymous count of how many times it was opened. A marker in your browser's session storage stops one visit from being counted twice.
  • Searches. The words you type in the search box are sent to our database to find matching articles.
  • Staff sign-in. The editing area at /manage is for NGP Cloud staff. It uses account sign-in with two-factor authentication, and the session ends when the tab is closed.

2. How we use it

  • To show you the Help Center and keep it working and secure, including preventing abuse.
  • To improve articles, using aggregated view counts and feedback.
  • To show advertising, as described in the next section.

3. Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show ads on the Help Center. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other websites.

  • You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.
  • You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we show a consent message. Personalised ads are used only if you agree, and you can change your choice later using the same message.

We do not control the cookies that Google and other advertising partners set, and this policy does not cover how they use your data.

4. Cookies and browser storage

  • Our own storage. We don't set sign-in cookies for readers. Your browser's local storage remembers which articles you have rated so the rating box doesn't ask twice, and session storage holds the view marker described above.
  • Third parties. Google sets cookies for advertising. We also load the Carlito typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to download it, and Google receives your IP address and browser details when it does.

You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. The Help Center still works without them, although you may see less relevant ads.

5. "Ask an AI" buttons

Article pages include buttons that open ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity in a new tab with a prompt that contains the article's link. Nothing is sent to those services by this website. Your browser opens their site, and from then on their own privacy policies apply to what you type there.

6. Who we share information with

  • Hosting and database providers that run the Help Center, including Supabase for the database and staff sign-in, and our server provider.
  • Google, for advertising and fonts, as described above.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect the rights, property or safety of NGP Cloud and its users.

We do not sell the personal information we collect through the Help Center. Advertising partners such as Google collect their own data through cookies, as explained in section 3.

7. How long we keep it

Article feedback and view counts are kept for as long as the article exists, so we can see whether it is working. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. We delete or anonymise personal information we no longer need.

8. Security

The Help Center is served over HTTPS. Staff access requires two-factor authentication, and the database only lets signed-in administrators change articles. No system on the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

9. Children

The Help Center is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Your choices and rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent you have given. To make a request, email support@ngpcloud.in or open a ticket on Discord, and tell us what you need. You can also manage advertising choices yourself using the links in section 3.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed, and significant changes will also be announced on our Discord server.
