About the Help Center

Last updated 2026-10-22

The NGP Cloud Help Center is the official knowledge base for NGP Cloud, a hosting provider for game servers, Discord bots, VPS and web hosting. It is written for the people who use those services, from someone ordering their first Minecraft server to an administrator running a production VPS.

What you will find here

The guides are grouped into nine topics:

  • Getting started: ordering a service, choosing a plan and a location, and the basics of how hosting works.
  • Billing and payments: payment methods, invoices, renewals, refunds and GST details.
  • Server management: the console, file manager, SFTP, backups, scheduled restarts and migrations.
  • Minecraft hosting: server types, mods and plugins, permissions, performance tuning and world care.
  • Game servers: setup and administration guides for games such as Rust, ARK, CS2 and FiveM.
  • Bot hosting: deploying and securing Discord bots in Node.js, Python and Java.
  • VPS and web hosting: securing a new server, SSH, firewalls, web servers, databases, Docker and SSL.
  • Account and security: two-factor authentication, passwords, phishing and keeping your account safe.
  • Troubleshooting: step-by-step fixes for common errors.

How we write our guides

We aim for guides that you can follow from start to finish:

  • Practical first. Each guide starts from a real task or a real error message and walks through the steps in order.
  • Explained, not just listed. We say why a step matters, so you can adapt it when your setup differs.
  • Honest about limits. If something depends on your game version, panel or operating system, we say so instead of guessing. Menu names and defaults can change between versions, so check them against what you see.
  • Linked together. Guides point to related ones, so you can go deeper without searching.
  • Safe by default. We recommend backups before risky changes, least-privilege permissions and secure credentials, and we never ask you to share passwords or tokens.

Third-party software such as Minecraft server software, plugins and Linux tools is made by other people and changes over time. Where a guide depends on it, treat the official documentation as the final word on current behaviour.

Keeping articles accurate

Hosting software moves quickly, so an article is never really finished. You can help:

  • Use the Yes/No box at the bottom of any article to tell us whether it helped, and leave a comment if something was wrong, unclear or out of date.
  • Message us on Discord with the article's address and what needs fixing.

We read the feedback and update guides when it points to a real problem. The date shown on an article tells you when it was last changed.

Advertising and independence

This site may show advertising from Google AdSense, which helps cover the cost of maintaining the Help Center. Ads are served by Google and are not recommendations from us. Our guides do not change because of advertising. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising and cookies work.

Need a person?

A guide cannot see your account. If you need help with a specific server, invoice or login, open a ticket: join the NGP Cloud Discord, run /ticket in any channel and include your Server ID or Invoice ID. You can also reach us through the Contact page.
